A cold-weather flight jacket adopted by the U.S. Air Force in the 1950s.
The N-2A's Air Force Blue (U.S. Air Force flight suit color designation) was found to be too conspicuous in actual combat, leading to a prompt response and the creation of the N-2B in Sage Green in the late 1950s.
It follows the design of the N-2A and is a heavy-zone (-10°C to -30°C) flight jacket with excellent cold protection.
