'Puyo Puyo'
An action puzzle game loved for over 30 years.
The original 'Puyo Puyo' was released in 1991 for the MSX2 and the Famicom Disk System, and in 1992 SEGA released arcade and Mega Drive versions.
With a simple and easy-to-understand game system, cute characters, and the introduction of competitive play as the first falling-action puzzle game, it became a massive hit.
Since then it has become a staple action puzzle game, released on various consoles, mobile phones, and smartphones. In March 2018 it became an officially recognized title by JeSU (Japan eSports Union), producing professional players. It has also grown in the e-sports scene, with numerous competitive tournaments held to date.
