Authentic denim material produced in Kojima, the birthplace of jeans. While it has a thickness that appears to be heavy ounce, it uses paper yarn, which has a specific gravity 1/5 that of cotton, for the weft, resulting in a lighter feel than its appearance suggests. Please enjoy the crispness unique to paper blended materials and the rich texture and comfortable fit that develop with wear.
□ Characteristics of Paper Yarn
A yarn born from traditional techniques passed down through generations in Japan. It is made from paper made by pulping Manila hemp fibers. Because the plants grow quickly even after being harvested, the fibers from this plant are an environmentally friendly and sustainable material. The countless holes in each fiber create a natural porous structure, providing a wide range of natural functionalities such as ultra-lightweight, breathability, water absorption, humidity control, heat retention, deodorization, antibacterial properties, and UV protection. It is packed with natural blessings that make the body comfortable in both summer and winter.
