・The drawcords hidden inside the pockets allow for adjustment of the hem fit and silhouette without exposure to the outside air.
・The front dual zip ventilation, with its two rows of zippers and mesh fabric in between, allows outside air to enter the garment, releasing uncomfortable heat and moisture that can build up inside the jacket.
・Equipped with a Parahood system that prevents rain and snow accumulation and allows for quick opening when needed.
・Pockets are placed inside both chest areas, ensuring high storage capacity for everything from business to everyday use.
・Pit zip ventilation is installed under the arms to quickly release heat that builds up inside the garment. It allows outside air to enter and efficiently releases uncomfortable heat and moisture that can build up.
・The snow cuff around the waist can prevent the intrusion of cold air and snow.

DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN
Descente Allterrain was born in 2012. The products, which leverage the know-how cultivated by Descente over many years in sports apparel development, pursue "true craftsmanship" that is independent of age, scene, and trends, as suggested by the name combining "all" and "terrain".
Starting with the iconic Mizusawa Down and hardshell jackets, all products are created under the concept of "Form Follows Function" - "All elements have a reason and are designed with function".
It fuses the craftsmanship and fashionability cultivated by Descente in developing sports performance wear with top athletes worldwide.
From 2023, two new categories, "Descente Allterrain 81" and "Descente Allterrain I/O", have been expanded.

MIZUSAWA DOWN
Mizusawa Down. It is the source of Descente Allterrain. A unique existence within Descente, where a single garment gave birth to a category.
This high-performance down jacket, which concentrates advanced technology within its distinctive minimalist appearance, was born from the special techniques and accumulated know-how of the Descente Apparel Mizusawa Factory [Mizusawa City, Iwate Prefecture (now Oshu City)], which has a rare integrated production system for down wear in Japan.
The development of Mizusawa Down began with an approach to solving the challenges of down jackets, such as water entering through seams and wetting the down, which reduces insulation.
By using special heat-bonding technology to form the down packs, seams are eliminated. For areas requiring sewing, such as sleeves, seam tape processing is applied to the back side, creating new value in "waterproofing" and "water resistance" for down jackets.
From cutting and down pack formation to heat-bonding and down filling, each process is meticulously crafted by experienced artisans. Mizusawa Down, named after the factory, has proposed functionality distinct from conventional down jackets since its birth in 2008, and continues to evolve, supported by fans worldwide.
