I felt that long coats, while visually appealing, were becoming saturated and a bit tiresome. So, I wanted to create clothes with a more active and lighthearted image. For example, I made this with a length similar to a coverall. I believe the exquisite length gives it a fresh look. The fabric is made from 100% thick, 8-count linen yarn using a spinning method called semi-wet spinning. This technique, which has a long history in linen spinning, is said to maximize the rustic feel and texture unique to this material. By weaving thick yarn in a twill pattern, a substantial and rugged atmosphere is created, and a special tumbler finish adds wrinkles and softness. Linen is breathable and quick-drying, making it comfortable even during times of extreme temperature fluctuations. It can be worn now and will be useful for a long period. Since the sizing is generous, you might consider choosing one size down.

The factory producing this item is located in the Koto region of Shiga Prefecture. There is abundant groundwater flowing from the Suzuka Mountains, with water emerging at a constant temperature of approximately 15°C year-round, which is used here. The factory uses a large amount of water in various processes, and while the used water is discharged into rivers and eventually flows into Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture has the strictest wastewater standards in Japan. Therefore, wastewater is purified by bacteria. The facility manages these bacteria 365 days a year, purifying the wastewater before returning it to nature, working towards the sustainable use of water resources. Additionally, some wastewater is treated at public wastewater treatment facilities.
