Shepard Fairey, a master of the street art world, began his career in 1989 with the guerrilla tactic of pasting posters and stickers around the city. The art project named "OBEY" is by him.
His activities have now expanded significantly, with his works being exhibited in the permanent collections of museums worldwide, such as MoMA and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Furthermore, Shepard Fairey is undoubtedly one of the representative artists of our time, creating large and small murals (wall paintings in the city) in various countries around the world.
In parallel with his artistic activities, the apparel line "OBEY Clothing," as a more accessible way to engage with his art, was born in Los Angeles, USA, in 2001.
The lineup, which strongly reflects the influence of music cultures such as skateboarding, punk, and rock that he has experienced, and sublimates Shepard Fairey's political stance as an artist into fashion, has continued to captivate youth worldwide for over 20 years since its birth.
