Shepard Fairey, known as a master of the street art world, started his career in 1989 with the guerrilla-style technique of pasting posters and stickers around town, and "OBEY" is his art project.

In parallel with his artistic activities, his apparel line, "OBEY Clothing," was born in Los Angeles, USA, in 2001 as a more accessible way to engage with his art.
The lineup, which retains the strong influence of music cultures such as skateboarding, punk, and rock that he has experienced, and sublimates Shepard Fairey's political stance as an artist into fashion, has continued to captivate young people worldwide for over 20 years since its inception.
