SOUNDGARDEN was formed in Seattle, Washington in 1984. They were a band that led the grunge alternative movement of the 1990s along with Nirvana and Pearl Jam. They have won two Grammy Awards and have sold over 21 million albums worldwide.
Frontman Chris Cornell is characterized by his incredible vocal range, said to span four octaves, and his soulful, emotional singing voice.
