John Smedley's signature is its 30-gauge knit fabric made from Sea Island Cotton, but this year, a new material called 'Anglo Indian Gauze' has been introduced. This hybrid material combines Sea Island Cotton with extra-fine merino wool, offering the excellent breathability and cool, dry touch of Sea Island Cotton, along with the elegant luster, natural antibacterial properties, and washability of merino wool, making it an attractive, easy-care material. The Begin bespoke version is a crew neck made from this new material, offered in an XL size not available in the standard line. While the sleeve length is kept the same as the L size, the body width and shoulder width are increased by one size to XL. Strictly speaking, as the body width and shoulder width increase, the sleeve length will also become slightly longer, but this enhances the airiness and drape. Currently, it's recommended to choose a size about one size larger and wear it instead of a long-sleeve t-shirt. The texture of the material also contributes to creating an adult-like relaxed feel. It blends well with trendy styles and adds an elegant atmosphere to simple outfits. This is a knit for adults that looks great with a relaxed vibe! Hazelnut is a limited color exclusive to Begin.
