Focus was placed on how to increase toughness and heat retention using natural materials. While vests that can rationally increase heat retention through layering are commonplace today, they were revolutionary at the time. We adopted Schott's original colors, which likely did not exist originally, and finished them with a sophisticated atmosphere through subtle differences in ribs and stitching. The fabric is inspired by the fine-wale pique material (cord cloth) used in 1940-50s deck jackets. The lining is made of wool-alpaca blend fabric for excellent cold protection. The front zipper uses a U-shaped top stop. This is a versatile item that can be worn over a Schott rider's jacket or as an inner layer.
