Charles Peterson is a photographer who captured the Seattle music scene from the late 80s to the 90s. He began taking photos while in high school and later studied photography at the University of Washington. His unique visual style and early work for Sub Pop Records became important symbols of the phenomenon known as Grunge. His representative photo collections, "SCREAMING LIFE" and "TOUCH ME I'M SICK," contain valuable shots of various bands active independently at the time.
This photo t-shirt features a rare shot of Kurt Cobain, who was staying at the Seattle boutique hotel "Inn at the Market," holding his beloved Ren doll. This photo was taken for an article in the news magazine Advocate. Shot on January 1, 1993.
The body has also been meticulously crafted, reproducing the atmosphere of the 90s with a 25mm wide neck rib, single-stitched hem and sleeves, and all seams sewn with single-needle stitching. The 6.2 oz fabric, knitted from 100% American cotton, is made in the USA and is tubular knit. This is a special item sewn and printed in Japan.
