The most distinctive feature is the "reinforcing tape on the upper seam of the pocket lining (single stitch, of course)". This detail, often found in American pocket tees from the 80s-90s as reinforcement for holding pens or sunglasses, is faithfully reproduced. Nowadays, double stitching is mainstream, so this type of sewing is almost non-existent, but it's a niche detail that vintage enthusiasts will love. While its function differs, it's said to be similar to the selvedge detail in denim.
Other details that recreate the atmosphere of the time include a 25mm wide neck rib, single stitch (loop-out) finish on the hem and sleeves, and all seams sewn with single lock stitching. The 6.2 oz fabric, knitted from 100% American cotton, is tube-knitted in the USA and sewn in Japan.
