Hemp leaf motif wishing for healthy growth

This tenugui features a stencil-dyed hemp leaf pattern, an auspicious motif, with the translucent quality of Yokohama printing.

Only carefully selected cotton fabric that achieves the texture and material quality sought by 濱文様 is used.

The hemp leaf grows quickly and is believed to ward off evil, so it has long been used as a pattern for children’s swaddling clothes.

This tenugui is recommended as a gift for childbirth and birth celebrations.

Caution	Care instructions: Hand wash at a maximum water temperature of 40°C. Use only oxygen-based bleach; do not use chlorine bleach. Hang to dry in the shade. Iron at medium temperature up to 150°C. Do not dry clean.
Remarks	Dark colors may fade slightly. If left wet and layered, color may bleed. This is a traditional tenugui with unfinished, unsewn edges. Fraying will stop naturally; trim loose threads with scissors as needed.
