'Mori-shio' should be kept pure.

A refill set of sacred salt made by slowly evaporating deep ocean water from Mie Prefecture using a standing-cauldron method.

This was offered to the Inner Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine.

Place 'mori-shio' with a prayer in clean areas such as the entrance or toilet to purify the space, and replace it regularly.

After use, dispose of the used 'mori-shio' by rinsing it down the kitchen sink or wrapping it in kitchen paper or white paper before discarding.

It also makes a nice gift when paired with separately sold containers or a salt set.
