Merino wool + cotton blend loopback gray sweatshirt

A sweatshirt series of merino wool + cotton with a nicely heathered finish. We made a hoodie, a crew, and a V-neck. Wool has the property of absorbing moisture when you sweat and locking it inside the fibers. So even when the fabric gets wet from sweat, the surface remains dry. However, once that sweat exceeds a certain amount, the fibers become full of moisture and it is pushed out to the outside.
This series was developed to keep you as comfortable as possible when you overdress or sweat heavily during outdoor sports in midwinter. The outside is merino wool, but the inside is deliberately made of cotton pile. By doing so, it can cope with a wide range of temperatures and humidity. I really like the classic, American-like texture of the fabric. The V-neck is intentionally made deep. If you wear an unbuttoned shirt over a turtleneck and then put this V-neck sweat over it, you can turn the sportiness of the sweat into something more like a cardigan. (A.H)
