【PYRENEX/Pyrenex】
Founded in 1859 in Saint-Sever, at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains in France, as a down producer, PYRENEX.
Saint-Sever is a region famous in Europe for foie gras production, and since its founding, Pyrenex has continued to produce bedding such as duvets and pillows using down from birds processed for food.
Downs from ducks raised in the harsh climate at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains have a very high filling power, producing highly insulating down.
In the 1960s, Pyrenex began producing full-fledged apparel products, starting with camping gear such as sleeping bags. As an OEM manufacturer, they collaborated with various brands, accumulating know-how in manufacturing, and in the 1990s, they launched the brand under the name "PYRENEX".
Currently, they also create products with a greater focus on fashion by developing premium lines in collaboration with young designers.
Pyrenex has grown into a leading French down brand, with corners in flagship stores, department stores, and select shops in Paris.
