Merino wool & cotton terry V-neck sweatshirt

The heathered finish turned out nicely in this Merino wool + cotton sweat series. We made a hoodie, a crew, and a V-neck. Wool has the property of absorbing moisture when you sweat and trapping it inside the fibers. So even if you sweat and the fabric becomes wet, the surface remains dry. However, when the amount of sweat exceeds a certain level, the fibers become full of moisture and push it out. This series was developed so you can stay a little more comfortable when you overdress or sweat heavily during outdoor winter sports. The face is Merino wool, but the reverse is deliberately made as cotton pile. By doing this, it can cope with a wide range of temperatures and humidity. I really like the classic American-like fabric feel. The V-neck is intentionally made with a deep V zone. Wear a shirt over a turtleneck with the buttons undone, then put this V-neck sweat on top, and you can turn the sportiness of a sweat into something more like a cardigan. (A.H)
