MA-1 COMMERCIAL LOGO

MA-1 produced for commercial (civilian) use. Features an orange lining. Flap pockets. This model features the original AVIREX applique logo on the back. A functional item using highly insulating THERMOLITE for padding. Silhouette with room in the body and armholes. [MA-1] Based on the B-15D, it was adopted in the mid-1950s and underwent detailed improvements, being used for 30 years. Due to repeated spec changes such as knit sleeves and collar, and reversible specifications, there are parts that were only used for short periods, such as the tab for the nylon oxygen mask and the loop for connecting the transceiver cord for in-flight communication, which are popular among collectors.
