Born as a series of "exceptionally good" goods from Anichu Store and illustrator Ikenouchi B.
"Bee's Knees" is an old English expression that literally translates to "bee's knees." It is used to mean "the best thing, the most excellent thing."
The brand name is a play on "Bee" (from the illustrator Ikenouchi B's name origin) and "Knees" which sounds like "Needs."
