2.5 Layer 1 Tuck Wide Tapered Shell Pants

These are regular 1-tuck pants with a wide tapered silhouette. However, we aimed for something thin, light, and highly breathable and waterproof, suitable for wear even on windy and rainy days. These are all-weather pants made from the same fabric as our coats, and can be compactly stored when not needed. We haven't tried them in midsummer, so we're not sure, but they should be comfortable in other seasons (personal opinion). The fabric is a 2.5-layer material with a ripstop weave using high-strength nylon yarn for tear resistance, treated with water repellency, and with a PU laminate + membrane treatment on the back. The seams are taped, so you're unlikely to get wet from rain. The other day, I wore these pants on a location shoot in the mountains. It was quite harsh with fog, wind, and rain, but I didn't feel cold, and they had just the right amount of stretch and didn't stick to my skin, allowing me to work without stress (personal opinion). When I returned to the hotel, I fell asleep from exhaustion, but I was surprised that I slept comfortably without feeling stuffy (personal opinion). The hip pockets are intentionally made large to accommodate A4-sized documents. The waistband with a spindle has gathers, allowing them to be worn without a belt. Because the fabric is light and thin, I think it's better to carry these than a folding umbrella during the upcoming rainy season (personal opinion). A.H
