2.5Layer 1 Pleated Loose Tapered Shell Pants

Wide tapered silhouette; the details are mostly like ordinary one-tuck pants. However, we aimed for something thin, light, and highly breathable and waterproof so it can be worn on rainy and windy days. Using the same fabric as our coats so it becomes compact when not needed, these are all-weather pants. I haven't tried them in midsummer yet, so I'm not sure, but they should be comfortable in other seasons (personal opinion). We used ripstop fabric woven with high-strength nylon yarn, treated with a water-repellent finish, and a 2.5-layer fabric with a PU laminate plus membrane treatment on the back. The sewn areas are seam-taped, so they should not get wet in the rain. Recently I wore these pants on a location shoot in the mountains. It was quite harsh with fog, wind, and rain, but I didn't feel cold; they have moderate stretch and don't feel sticky against the skin, so I could work without stress (personal opinion). When I returned to the hotel I fell asleep from fatigue, and I was surprised that I could sleep comfortably without feeling stuffy (personal opinion). The hip pockets are intentionally large and designed to fit A4-sized documents. The waistband has a drawcord with gathers so they can be worn beltless. Because the fabric is light and thin, I think carrying these is better than carrying a folding umbrella during the coming rainy season (personal opinion). A.H
