2.5Layer shell jacket

I always think it would be ideal to be able to travel in the same clothes I wear every day. If it's a jacket, you want high breathability and waterproofing, and zippers on the pockets so you don't lose your passport — for a while I wore shells with large outdoor brand logos. But that mountain parka style has a short hem, so it can't protect your pants from rain. You can't travel in full rain gear, and that drifts away from the idea of wearing your usual clothes as much as possible. While musing about that, I made this coat. It's thin, light, highly breathable and waterproof, and compact when not needed. It's an outerwear piece you can use all season. We used ripstop fabric made with high-strength nylon yarn, treated with a water-repellent finish, and a 2.5-layer fabric with PU lamination + membrane surface treatment on the back. Seam tape is applied to the sewn areas, so it won't get wet in the rain. Recently I went on a location shoot in the mountains wearing this coat. It was quite harsh with mist, wind and rain, but I didn't feel cold; it has moderate stretch, and the side that touches the skin doesn't become sticky, so I could work without stress. A reflector is included as a design element. That may be a matter of personal taste, but it's not too flashy, so I think this level of detail is fine. Also, because the fabric is thin, in rainy seasons it's lighter and more convenient than carrying a folding umbrella (this is a personal opinion). A.H
