Linen Tailored Jacket

I like clothes that develop a nice texture with repeated washing. That's why, even when wearing a suit, unless it's very formal, I wash it thoroughly in the washing machine. In winter, I like sturdy wool that feels like it's been felted through washing, and in spring and summer, I prefer cotton or linen that has been washed until it's nicely wrinkled. Linen, in particular, develops a better texture the more it's washed, so I wanted to make it with a nice, substantial fabric for spring and summer. This is made from 100% thick, 8-count linen yarn using a spinning method called semi-wet spinning. This technique, which has a long history in linen spinning, is said to maximize the rustic feel and texture unique to this material. By weaving thick yarn in a twill weave, a substantial and rugged atmosphere is created, and a special tumbler processing adds wrinkles and softness. A large pocket is equipped on the inside of the left front panel. It can hold ZINEs, as well as PCs and A4-sized documents, allowing you to go out empty-handed.
The factory producing this is located in the Koto region of Shiga Prefecture. There is abundant groundwater flowing from the Suzuka Mountains, with water gushing out at approximately 15°C year-round, and this water is used here. The factory uses a large amount of water in various processes, and while the used water flows into rivers and then into Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture has the strictest standards in Japan for wastewater discharge, so here, wastewater is purified by bacteria. The purification facility manages these bacteria 365 days a year, cleaning the polluted water before returning it to nature, working towards the sustainable use of water resources. Additionally, some of the wastewater is treated at public wastewater treatment facilities.
