Previously, the ground relied on polyester or synthetic fibers to prevent the pile from shedding, but we have now succeeded in creating an all-cotton organizational structure.
Feature 2: Wrapped in fluffy comfort.
The high and low pile creates a bumpy texture, allowing air to circulate better, making them light and comfortable.
Feature 3: Also features solid stitching!
The room shoes are sewn in a factory located by the Yoshino River in Tokushima Prefecture.
While thick, napped materials like these are generally difficult to sew, this factory sews everything from sturdy canvas to delicate pile fabrics. Furthermore, with many years of experience in slipper sewing, they pay close attention to areas like the toe and stress points during stitching.
History of Koya-guchi Pile Weave:
Pile weave is a type of pile fabric from Koya-guchi, Wakayama Prefecture. It is an area where wool weaving flourished, to the extent that at one point, nearly 90% of domestic stuffed animals were produced here in Koya-guchi. It is said that Sanada Himo, which Masayuki Sanada used to make a living in Kudoyama, is the origin (there are various theories).
With cotton cultivation thriving in southern Osaka, weaving technology developed in the nearby areas.
It is no exaggeration to say that domestic pile weaving spread from Koya-guchi, starting with the development of re-woven fabrics similar to moquette.
