Reproduces the L-2A vintage line with characteristic Air Force Blue, "SPEC MIL-J-5391A". The material is Japanese nylon, a feature of the HERITAGE line. While the lining is typically a blend of rayon and wool, AVIREX uses a rayon cotton satin material that is durable and easy to maintain. The ribs are 100% wool tube ribs. [L-2A] The L-2A was adopted in the early 1950s as the successor to the L-2, being the first flight jacket for the light zone to use nylon fabric. The shell is Air Force Blue, the image color of the U.S.A.F., which was newly established in 1947 after separating from the U.S.A.A.F. (United States Army Air Forces).
