An Edo folding fan featuring an impressive silver foil full moon on purple Japanese paper.

The full moon was printed using the Karakami technique, where patterns are hand-printed from woodblocks onto handmade Japanese paper.

For Japanese people, the "moon" is a symbol of identity.

We chose it because it evokes a sense of familiarity and special emotion.

The Japanese paper is an original creation by "Keibifugetsu", made from scratch by Yuko Tanino, who presides over "Tesuki Washi Tanino".

Fossil coral, said to have antibacterial properties, is enclosed within, and it is dyed purple using perilla.

The fan was crafted by Keiko Fukatsu, the 5th generation owner of Kinkindo Fukatsu Sensuten, inheriting the tradition of Edo folding fans.

This fan embodies the vitality of nature and the soul of the artisan.

We hope you will hold it in your hands and feel its power.

Comes with a case made of Tango chirimen fabric with a moon surface pattern.

It will be delivered in an "Azekura box" made of paulownia wood.

The "seme", inspired by mizuhiki, is used to prevent the fan from opening unintentionally.
