I am Fukatsu, one of only two Edo fan craftsmen remaining today.

This fan is made using "Hon Susudake," a material now considered legendary.

Hon Susudake is bamboo used in thatched roofs that has been smoked for 100-200 years by the smoke from an irori (sunken hearth), turning it amber. Despite being light, it is extremely durable, resistant to deformation, and has a unique, very attractive luster.

This is truly a masterpiece that can be cherished for a lifetime. Since it is a one-of-a-kind item, please purchase it early if you find one you like.
