The marriage of Kyoto crafts

This durable and supple stole is made entirely by Kyoto artisans, woven using the Tango chirimen technique from threads created by finely cutting and twisting Kurotani washi along with silk thread.

Kurotani washi, with a history of over 800 years, is carefully finished sheet by sheet by skilled artisans using traditional hand-scooping techniques.

This is a 'stole to nurture' that becomes more comfortable against the skin the longer you use it, allowing you to enjoy its changes with age.
