I am Fukatsu, one of only two remaining Edo folding fan craftsmen.

This is a folding fan made using "genuine soot bamboo," a material now considered legendary.

Genuine soot bamboo is bamboo used in thatched roofs that has been smoked for 100-200 years by the smoke from an irori (hearth), changing to an amber color. Despite being light, it is extremely durable, resistant to deformation, and its unique luster is very attractive.

This is truly a masterpiece that can be cherished for a lifetime. Since it is a one-of-a-kind item, please purchase it early if you find one you like.
