I am Fukatsu, one of only two Edo fan craftsmen remaining today.

I use thick, high-quality bamboo and washi paper from Kyoto, and I manufacture all processes myself.

The tatewaku (rising steam) pattern, with its series of swelling wave-like shapes, is a traditional and dignified pattern that has been used in court nobles' attire since the Heian period.

Most fans are one-of-a-kind, so if you find a fan you like, please purchase it as soon as possible.

The "pachin" sound when closing is a sign of an Edo fan; please enjoy the stylish Edo fan.
