I am Fukatsu, one of only two Edo fan craftsmen left.

Using thick, high-quality bamboo and Japanese paper from Kyoto, I manufacture all processes myself.

The tatewaku pattern is a design with a series of wave-shaped central bulges, a traditional and formal pattern used in court nobles' clothing since the Heian period.

Most fans are one-of-a-kind, so if you find a fan you like, please purchase it early.

The crisp "pachin" sound when closing is the hallmark of an Edo fan. Please enjoy the stylish Edo fan.
