This is a larger bowl whose glaze, evoking the blue of the natural world, stands out against a crimson underglaze.

The flowing patterns of blue glaze on the outside give the bowl a distinctive variation.

I turn sunflowers I have grown myself into ash and mix it with ashes from grapes, sunflowers, figs, and others to create my own natural ash glaze.

These days few ceramic artists make glazes from ash themselves, but because it has a significant effect on coloration we take pride in this process.
