Hirokazu Okano

Woven using the full potential of Hakata-ori techniques, each piece is hand-sewn and carefully finished.

The warm, tactile feel that cannot be achieved by mass-produced items makes it an ideal gift for those who want to wear something genuine.

The blade (wide end) is approximately 8 cm, a regular size that matches any suit.

The rare hand-sewn tie produces a plump, three-dimensional knot that sets off the collar beautifully, creating a noticeable difference in appearance when worn.

The motif on the tie is OKANO's original take on the traditional "Kenjo" prayer pattern (dating back to the Kamakura period), expressing only the oyako (parent-child) and filial-piety stripes as stripes.

Oyako stripe = prosperity; filial-piety stripe = dignity.
We made this with care, imbuing the pattern that has protected the city of Hakata with our sentiments.

~Color~
Blue ties tend to convey an image of intelligence, calmness, and sincerity, and are said to be the most preferred color among Japanese businessmen.
It makes a good first impression and is used by many businessmen regardless of age.
Even within the blue family, a light blue gives a more youthful, fresh impression, while deep blue or navy gives a calm, intellectual impression.
OKANO's blue ties create color differences through the saturation of the weft (horizontal) threads.
At first glance the differences may be hard to notice, but the impression changes greatly with angle and lighting. It's a product you can enjoy collecting in different colors.
