Vividness characteristic of Nishijin weaving

A bright red square plate with a mari (decorative ball) pattern woven abundantly with gold and silver threads.

Since mari were once toys for girls, they are often used as motifs on furisode and kimono for the Shichi-Go-San celebration to wish for good matches and harmony.

The beautiful textile is sandwiched between glass and EVA resin, and the back is treated with non-slip and shatter-prevention coatings to make this a highly functional plate.
