Vivid colors typical of Nishijin weaving

This is a bright red round plate with a mari (decorative ball) pattern, richly woven with gold and silver threads.

The mari was once a toy for girls and is often used as a motif on furisode and Shichi-Go-San kimonos to wish for good matches and harmony.

Beautiful textiles are sandwiched between glass and EVA resin, and the back is finished with non-slip and shatter-prevention treatments, making this a highly functional plate.

It has a strong presence as a decorative plate and is also great for presenting a variety of dishes.

The 15cm size is perfect as a side dish or cake plate, while the 22cm size is ideal for main dishes.
