An auspicious octagonal cup

This is the 'Ki no Sachi' series masu cup (small), made from high-quality Kyoto-grown wood called 'miyako somaki'.

Since ancient times in Japan, the number 8 has been considered auspicious, and the octagonal shape is favored because it is said to draw luck from all directions.

The natural wood grain is beautiful, and the twisted design makes it a striking piece.

It pairs not only with sake but also with tea, coffee, and other beverages.
