One day, Mr. Kurimori was shocked when his wife told him, \"Cylindrical shapes are inconvenient and difficult to use,\" and after much trial and error, he created a mortar-shaped bent vessel with a wide opening at the top. This resulted in a modern and new vessel unlike any before. Since then, the range of designs has expanded further, and since 1968, it has won numerous awards, including the Good Design Award and the Long Life Design Award.
